The Griot's Grotto
What is the meaning of this, yes the Caveat Griot, thus that we heed the cautionary tale? And so, wherefore that she cannot fail? The answer is sloth, simply put the measure to submit herself to an attentiveness to nature. Why, as the ancient Egyptians would say, one must "always watch and follow nature." But why assume responsibility for mankind? What sort of character or values does she possess? Her ethos is that unspeakable, metaphysical ultimate in which one has attained disinterested wisdom and compassion. That which the Caveat Griot affirms is the rationale, indeed the law of entropy that for a closed system the more disorder and randomness, the more heat energy, and subsequently the less energy available to do useful work. So what does it mean? It means that you ought to fear a higher power and pray for salvation. Not because of any religious conscript, but because of the balance between relative and absolute metaphysics ranging from biological processes regulated by homeostasis or the circadian rhythm to natural disasters such as an earthquake, tsunami, or hurricane.
